The role
As our Work Health and Safety Business Partner (WHS BP), you will play a key role in providing guidance, advice and support across Cox Automotive Australia in relation to WHS & Injury Management matters. Working with the Health and Safety Manager, you will focus on the development, implementation and coordination of WHS initiatives and programs in order to promote and influence a positive safety culture across the organisation.
Please note this role may require adhoc interstate travel to our sites when required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure incidents are timely recorded, incident investigations are completed, and sustainable corrective actions implemented.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop recommendations for corrective action.
- Manage the WHSE Training program and deliver training as required.
- Prepare a monthly safety performance report on all business units/sites within remit.
- Maintain regular communication with key front-line staff at business units and sites.
- Manage workplace injuries, injury management processes and work cover claims.
- Provide advice and assistance to sites on Chain of Responsibility compliance via audit and education.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety and Auditing.
- Experience in a similar role in a medium to large organisation or significant equivalent experience in a related industry.
- Well versed in Work Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
- Excellent communication and sound decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of National Workers Compensation schemes & Injury Management.
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office.
